Vittorio Veneto

Vittorio Veneto is set at the foothills of Treviso Prealps. It is the result of the union between two medieval villages Ceneda and Serravalle rich in history and architectural testimonies. Its recent story is connected to the events of WW1, which ended in this town. The civic museo della battaglia is dedicated to this historical theme. Serravalle rises along river Meschio whose temperature is always 11°C, and for this reason in the past the town was famous for the production of high quality swards.


Conegliano

Conegliano is synonymous of good wine. Here the first School of Enology of Italy was established in 1868 and today it is the Experimental Centre of Viticulture and Enology, an Experimental Institute for viticulture, a research institution equivalent to university institutions. The town is dominated by the castle, today the civic museum. Conegliano is also famous because it is the hometown of the renaissance painter Giovan Battista Cima, one of his works, an altar piece, is conserved in the main church.


Treviso

So mesmerizing with its quiet canals created by the crossing of two rivers the Cagnan and the Sile (Europe’s longest resurgent river), with its frescoed palaces and porticoes, Treviso is a city to be discovered in all its different picturesque spots. The heart of the city is Piazza dei Signori where the locals like to meet and chat drinking a good spritz or a glass of prosecco or raboso – the two main local wines. Palazzo dei Trecento, the city tower and Palazzo del Podestà sourround the square. When you get closer to Treviso by car you will be struck by the imposing massive walls reinforced be the Venetians during their rule. The Cathedral with its cripta, the churches of San Nicolò and S. Francesco with their acient frescoes are worth a visit. The best way to visit Treviso is following its waterways.
